PURPOSEFUL RARITY

Introducing Florence Carr.
One-of-a-kind high jewellery for those who refuse the expected.

We start with stones most people never see.

Nothing is repeated. Nothing is diluted.

Designed to stand apart. Not to assimilate.

Made for collectors who define taste, not follow it.

Be the flamingo among the flocks of pigeons.

Florence is drawn to jewellery with soul—pieces shaped by culture, history, and human hands. She is deeply inspired by Indigenous art and ancestral traditions, where adornment carries meaning beyond beauty. This influence runs through her work in bold forms, powerful symbols, and gemstones chosen for their energy as much as their rarity. Her favourite stones include rich turquoise Paraíba tourmalines from Mozambique, hot pink and orange-peach tourmalines, pink Tajik and Mahenge spinels, and richly saturated Russian emeralds, particularly those with lighter blue undertones.

With a foundation in Gemmology (Gem-A) and a BA in Media, Religious Studies, and Classics from the University of Cape Town, Florence draws on spirituality and the myths and symbolism of royalty. These influences inform jewels that feel both ancient and unmistakably modern.

Her work is guided by respect—for the origins of materials, the communities from which they come, and the individuality of each client. Warm, sun-washed gold, earthen tones, and richly coloured gemstones define a body of work rooted in depth, presence, and enduring significance.
